June Challenges

How did you go with the May challenges? I got very little done as i was away for 3 weeks!!! I was travelling around NSW visiting family with our little family. It was so great to get around and see everyone, but boy was it exhusting!! Lots of night driving (since it's much easier with the kids asleep!!), and my little one was just AWEFUL at nights!!! She was in our bed every night with us by 1-3ish due to her getting up so much!!! Totally exhausting. Oh well. It's very nice to be home again, and i've certainally got lots of material for scrapping!!!

Before i get onto the challenges for this month, i want to give a shout out to Charms Creations and her gorgeous handmade embellishments!! I won a $50 voucher with her last night, and boy did i have fun spending it!!! I just can't wait to get my lovely package next week!!! Here's a small sample of what she creates:

Aren't they fab?!!??! You can win a $20 voucher with her challenge each month too, plus a chance to be a guest designer on her blog site! Her challenge this month is so fab - just use one of her AWESOME products with any of the challenges over at Scrapbooking From Scratch!! Feminine/Masculine Colours

Have you ever done a boys LO using feminine colours or a girls LO using masculine colours? That's the challenge over at the MME blog right now!

Here's a LO of Scarlet that i have made using masculine MME papers:

Photobucket

Blacks, greens, yellows and reds together aren't traditional for a girls LO, but i think they look alright here!! I've used a bit of netting from an orange net on this page too - it's very subtle, above the black dotted paper :D Love those doilies from Typo too - i've got these in red, blue and black - they're great aren't they!!!

Sharing the MME Love

OK, how many of you scrappers out there just LOVE MME? I'm sure i'm not the first to admit to drooling over all the lovely sparkly papers and gorgeous embellies they put out!!! I also love following the MME blog, and they have a couple of monthly challenges, so i thought i'd give one a go this month!!!

Their first challenge of the month is to use brads in an unusual way (plus, of course, you have to use their product!!!) I had a BOTHER of a time trying to find my MME brad stash, which i only just used a couple of weeks ago when i was at a crop!!! Doh!!

ANYWAY, i ended up just using some generic silver brads to hold down some yummy Green Tara crystal branches, plus for the middle of some butterfly's which i'd popped up, and as just an embellishment cluster.

I'm really loving how this album is coming together, thanks to Mel who is a fantastic teacher!!

Have you visited the White With One challenge blog yet? They always have a great challenge every month, based on white + another colour + an extra element.

The April challenge isn't due until May 11, so you've still got a few days to get into it. I finished mine over the weekend - the challenge was "White + Grey + Tabs/Tags". Here's what i came up with:

Almost forgot!!!

Well it's the last day of the month today and i was hoping to get another challenge done, but in amongst all the craziness of a bubba with Broccollitus, it just never happened - and i almost forgot to share my entry for the Purple Pumpkin sketch of the month!!! I used their sketch this month for my first year calendar album that i'm creating for Scarlet:

Isn't she just the most darling little bunny?

I had some fun with these buttons on this LO - check out how i've stamped them!! Aren't they cute!! Definitely got to do this again!! I really do have to use more stamping in my scrapping - i've got so many lovely stamps!!! I had a bit of fun stamping around the outside of the LO too :D

I had some fun joining in at the Scrapboutique April Cybercrop last weekend, and i actually managed to win with one of my LO's! Here's what i came up with:

My Bunny Girl

Yesterday i showed you my tiger boy, so today i'll show you my bunny girl!!

Of course this is an easter LO, and i've created it for the Scrapboutique Monthly challenge - an inspiration challenge where the image was lots of wooden painted eggs - all pastel colours. I found this gorgeous tissue paper in Big W before easter and I'm so glad that i snatched it up when i did!!

Isn't that Prima bling just delicious? I've added some yummy My Vintage Blossoms and a bit of Purple Pumpkin, plus some old Heidi Swapp felt butterflies i stumbled across recently - aren't they cute? Got some in blue too - going to have to find a use for them!!!

This next LO i did based on the Scrapbooking From Scratch sketch of the month, using an Echo Park kit that i won last year during the Scrapbooking From Scratch Sketchaday comp. It's a fabulous kit and i've used it a few times now, but still finding uses for it!!
